I adore Eunice's work and have often posted her treats to [info]suckerlove_ but here's a collective look at her TRUCKLOAD of Placebo work over the last 4 months...

"A crappy video showing my not-that-good drawings I've done for the past 4 months. This is a lame video that is a poor mimicry of Moleskine videos lol

I was listening to old Duran Duran while I was making this video lol"

Placebo are to play Sonisphere next summer. Is it just me, or do they seem a bit out of place in this line-up ?

From Mark Beaumont's profile on www.guardian.co.uk :
"Mark Beaumont is a music journalist with 13 years experience writing for publications including NME, The Guardian, The Times, The Mail On Sunday, Uncut, Melody Maker, Loaded and The Modern Review. His first book Out Of This World: The Story Of Muse was published by Omnibus Press in October 2008 and in 2009 he publishes an official Placebo biography and completes work on his novel '3 Minutes'. Mark has seen the reformed Pixies at least nine times"

And from Mark Beaumont himself on nme.com in response to someone speaking about the biography (September 7th 2009) :
"It's in two volumes now Chris, Volume 1 is done and with their management, not sure of a release date yet"

It seems this music journalist is a Placebo "fan" and friend, and interviewed the band a few times.

He wrote Muse's biography "The Story Of Muse" wich was corrected by the band, so this time maybe we'll have something interresting for a change...

EXPATRIATE’s show in Cologne, Germany on 4th December 2009 marked the last of 24 arena tour dates throughout Europe supporting Placebo. The tour took them through France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Poland and Austria, playing to thousands of people at each show. When EXPATRIATE were approached by film maker Bruno Barthas to document their journey through France and show the fans intimate access to their private thoughts as well as their euphoric stage performances, they were delighted to invite him on the road. Watch the EXPATRIATE Winter 2009 Tour Diary part 2.

It is also available to view on the band's OFFICIAL VIMEO channel. And if you haven’t yet already, you can still watch Part 1 here or on VIMEO.

I'm a big, big Placebo fan here in the US (more specifically, Florida...I know) and nobody here knows who Placebo are aside from a few people (and those people have only heard "Pure Morning", "Meds", or "Running Up That Hill"). A darn shame, I know.

Anyways, I'm trying to woo this girl at my school, and my way of doing that is to introduce her to that wondeful drug that is PLACEBO. So, here's my question:

What Placebo album would you give to somebody who has never heard a song by Placebo their entire life? (OMWF does not count. I find "greatest hits" albums to be inconsistent :p)

My money's on Meds. The album's dark, but musically, it's also accesible enough that it won't scare new listeners away. So yeah, a Placebo album shall be my Christmas gift, but which one?

[lulz, I'm actually afraid that she'll like them alot, and leave me to stalk Brian Molko. Those guys seriously need to stop being so damn pretty :p]

Extra question... )
